Cambridge Global Food Security

An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

Successful First Speed Networking Event for Initiative

A successful speed networking event on 27th October 2016 brought together early career researchers from eight departments and institutes across the University with interests in global food systems. A fast-paced format enabled many new interdisciplinary connections to be made, information shared and potential new collaborators found. Thank you to all who took part - and for those who missed out there will be other opportunities to get involved soon...

The Initiative is a virtual network of researchers across the University, from crop scientists and engineers to specialists in political economy, policy and public health. It promotes interaction and knowledge sharing, and supports collaborative research to address the issues surrounding food security at local, national and international scales.

This event was organised by the Initiative's Early Career Researcher Committee members Kirsten van Fossen (IfM) and Martina Kunz (C-EENG) together with the Initiative's Coordinator Jacqueline Garget.
