Cambridge Global Food Security

An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

I am an MPhil student in Development Studies and I want to embark on a long-term career in humanitarian relief and food security. During my undergraduate studies in Economics I co-founded a start-up that offers a closed-loop system for glass bottles. This service, ReWine, aims to collect empty glass bottles and put them back into the market, while reducing carbon emission by 75% in that particular industry. I am passionate about trying to solve big humanitarian problems, and food security is definitely one of them. In my previous experiences in Haiti, I have been exploring the possibility of using Tilapia livestock to create a sustainable business model that can help the population to fight hunger and malnutrition. This is the kind of challenges I am interested in.
