Sarah Garland is a PhD student in the Baulcombe Lab, Department of Plant Sciences, and is a member of Trinity College, Cambridge. Before moving to England, Sarah graduated from Duke University, North Carolina, USA with High Distinction in Biology and was awarded the Biology Department prize for Excellence in Plant Sciences. Sarah was an intern at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy where she became interested in global food security and regulation.
