Biography

Sethlina Naa Dodua Aryee is a PhD. Student at the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge. She is passionate about Agricultural research and believes that basic needs such as food should be available to everyone. This belief coupled with her passion for research motivates her to engage in projects geared towards sustainable agricultural production utilizing genomic tools. She received her BSc. Degree in Agriculture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and proceeded to take her MPhil. Degree in Animal science specializing in Animal breeding and Genetics at the University of Ghana, Legon. She is a fellow of the Schlumberger Faculty for the Future fellowship, and the current Secretary and former Vice President of the Cambridge University Ghanaian Society. She is currently working on the Genome Analysis of the Ashanti Dwarf pig of Ghana. This research is geared towards the conservation and sustainable use of local pig breeds in Ghana using genomics and bioinformatic tools.
