Dr Yolande Cordeaux

Dr Cordeaux obtained her PhD in biochemistry with Prof Philip Strange, at the University of Kent. She has 12 years postdoctoral research experience in molecular pharmacology and cell signaling of GPCRs and steroid receptors (most recently investigating hormonal and mechanical pathways regulating contractility of the uterus at the Dept. Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Cambridge).

As a bye-fellow at Queens’ College, Cambridge 2010-2014 Dr Cordeaux also taught Physiology to undergraduate students in the Natural Sciences and Medical Tripos.  Following a brief period in industry, conducting post-marketing research in respiratory medicine, she returned to the University and worked at the Research Strategy Office during the REF2014 exercise, supporting the preparation of impact case studies.

Dr Cordeaux joined the Dept. Chemistry at Cambridge as their Knowledge Transfer Facilitator in January 2015. Her role includes supporting academics in engaging with end-users (including but not limited to industry) across all chemical sciences, brokering new relationships and facilitating collaborations, so as to increase the impact of the academics’ research.
