Research Overview
My research focusses on modelling the large-scale spread of epidemics impacting the productivity of smallholder farmers. I am currently working with partners in 10 countries across West and Central Africa (WAVE programme) focusing primarily on cassava brown streak disease, a disease that causes significant yield loss in cassava.
Additional experience in entrepreneurship; I developed and implemented a digital platform for smallholder farmers to improve market access and fairness in agricultural supply chains in Colombia.
