An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

The Royal Geographic Society is holding a two-day field techniques workshop, designed for students, researchers and professionals looking for guidance on practical research approaches and techniques when working with local people on overseas field projects.

Whether your field research is people-oriented or concerned with conservation, ecology or other activities, local involvement can be invaluable. This field techniques course is designed to demonstrate the versatility of participatory research tools which are often instrumental in successful research in developing areas.

Led by development professional, David Measures, you will be guided through the design and implementation of a range of research methodologies.
