An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

A Pint of Science event featuring Cambridge scientists

Come and hear about the amazing variety of innovative scientific research taking place here in Cambridge – all from the comfort of your local pub!

For three evenings in May (18th-20th), pubs across Cambridge will be hosting the world's largest festival of public science lectures, Pint of Science. Local scientists will be explaining their cutting-edge research during a total of 18 events, which will feature topics as varied as 'artificial consciousness', 'how to achieve a social life after death' and 'biological solar panels'.

On 18th May, 'Guess who's coming to dinner' features Eva Margaritis (McDonald Institute of Public Health), Leslie Steinitz (Faculty of History) and Helen Scales (Institute of Continuing Education).

This is not your average science lecture! Questions, debates and audience participation are actively encouraged and NO scientific background is necessary.
