Cambridge Global Food Security

An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

Welcome to the Coffee Break Seminars. This is a relaxed online learning and discussion platform for our food security community.

The next seminar is on 26 November at 3pm, GMT. GFS, Cambridge Zero and the Centre for Science and Policy will discuss: 'How can we achieve both food security and net zero?'

Dr Angela Burnett organised this event as part of her David MacKay Cambridge Zero Darwin College Research Associate project.

The panel will explore the interplay and tensions between achieving food security and net zero from a variety of perspectives. Panellists will consider crops for food and feed, their contribution to food security, and the use of technologies to improve food security and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
