An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

Please find the event recording here.

This workshop aims to advise early career researchers on how to write successful interdisciplinary/collaborative research grant proposals. It includes common challenges faced in the grant process, as well as mistakes to avoid.

The panel:

Professor John Carr investigates how virus infection influences interactions of plants with other organisms and plants’ ability to withstand environmental stresses. His research interests include viral subversion of plant resistance, viral gene expression, plant-virus-insect vector interactions, and the effects of virus infection on interactions of plants with beneficial insects such as pollinators.

Dr Inanna Hamati-Ataya is Principal Research Associate and Principal Investigator on the ERC-funded project ARTEFACT as of March 2018, and founding director of the Centre for Global Knowledge Studies (gloknos), since September 2017. Dr Hamati-Ataya’s research lies at the intersection(s) of world politics, global/world history, social theory, natural and historical epistemology, and the anthropology, history, and sociology of knowledge, science, and technology.
