Cambridge Global Food Security

An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

Interested in finding out a bit more about what developments are taking place in the food industry? Come and hear experts from academia, industry and a start-up company discuss their experiences and what the future of food may hold for us.

The food industry is ever-growing and ever-changing. This event will give us some insight into the current movements and trends taking hold in the world of food.

The first part of this event will be a talk given by three professionals, from academia, industry and a start-up. They will tell us about the fascinating ways they're thinking about the future of our food, whilst observing developing consumer demand and ensuring sustainability. Speakers will talk for 15 minutes each with a 15 minute panel Q&A session to finish.

Please join us after the talk and Q&A session for drinks in the Library at the Faculty, where you can discuss the topics further with our speakers and others.

Alongside the drinks, we also welcome you to come and experience the food revolution in 3D! We will be testing the brand new Virtual Reality videos from EIT's FutureKitchen project. Come and learn about the geothermal tomato growth or 3D printed fish.
