Cambridge Global Food Security

An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

Are you an early career researcher passionate about making a real-world impact with your work? Do you aspire to effectively communicate your research to policymakers and contribute to the health and environmental policy landscapes – both in the UK and internationally? Then this workshop is tailor-made for you!

Join us for an interactive policy engagement workshop, facilitated by the Centre for Science and Policy, and in collaboration with Cambridge Infectious Diseases, Cambridge Public Health, Cambridge Global Food Security, and Cambridge Global Challenges.

The workshop will centre around the theme of ‘One Health’ – a unifying approach to balancing and optimising the health of people, animals, and the environment.

The workshop will consist of a series of engaging sessions including guest speakers, brainstorming and skills building sessions, as well as ample networking opportunities.

  • Jamie Turner: Deputy Director, Performance at UK Health Security Agency
  • Natasha Mutebi: Biological Sciences, Health and Medicine Advisor, Parliamentary Science Advisor, POST (UK Parliament)

How to apply

Spaces are limited for the workshop to ensure meaningful discussions and engagement. Therefore, we kindly request potential participants to complete this form to express your interest in attending the event by the 27th of May. This will enable us to ensure representation from a wide range of disciplines and customise the workshop to better meet your needs. We will contact all applicants after the deadline to confirm space.
