Do you want to learn the critical skills and tools needed to understand current and future challenges in the food industry? Do you want to help enable the transition towards a more sustainable industry? Then apply for The Food Tech Transition Summer School 2019!

The Food Tech Transition Summer School 2019 is aimed towards Masters and PhD students interested in learning about contemporary and future challenges in the food industry, and how to respond to the needs of consumers and employers. The course integrates knowledge about food technology and food production with social science perspectives on the food industry, and will be delivered from both academic and commercial perspectives. The summer school will be focused on the EU food sector at the crossroad of new technological advances, and the challenges presented by sustainability issues.

The Food Tech Transition Summer School 2019 is hosted by Universität Hohenheim, Queen’s University Belfast, University of Cambridge, and industrial partner Energy Pulse present, and funded in collaboration with EIT Food.

Please read this document before applying. Costs for accommodation and lunch will be covered by the organizers. Participants can apply for reimbursement of their travel costs (up to €200 per person) after their attendance of the summer school.

Participants are responsible for obtaining their travel visas, and health insurance that covers illness, accidents, and civil liability insurance valid for Germany.
