Research

Felix works in ARTEFACT, a project funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The project explores 'The Global as Artefact: Understanding the Patterns of Global Political History Through an Anthropology of Knowledge – The Case of Agriculture in Four Global Systems from the Neolithic to the Present.'

Felix is responsible for the work package on the Green Revolution which he investigates in South and Southeast Asia. He is interested in how the knowledges of agricultural production changed in the course of the Green Revolution and how these changes affected social and political norms in the region and vice versa. His research sets out from a historical sociology of international politics, with a focus on social movements and other critics and their relations to political institutions in the fields of economic policy, development, food and agriculture.
