Sean works in the laboratory of Prof. Hibberd studying the evolution of C4 photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is a major bottleneck in current crop productivity and this research focuses on understanding the genetic regulation of photosynthesis feeding into an improved understanding of how it may be overcome. Sean also has a keen interest in the wider agricultural world including farming practices and policy.
