Cambridge Global Food Security

An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

Cambridge Global Food Security to lead a new project funded by Isaac Newton Trust

The interdisciplinary project, called Objects, is being led in collaboration with Dr Inanna Hamati-Ataya, Principal Investigator on the ERC-funded project ARTEFACT and Founding Director of the new Centre for Global Knowledge Studies (gloknos) at CRASSH.

The project will assemble multiple small groups of researchers from the natural, physical and social sciences as well as the humanities in order to discuss objects (ecofacts or artefacts) relating to global food security, with the aim to further our understanding of the scientific and social dimensions of agricultural practices and of food-related objects as carriers of human knowledge.
