Cambridge Global Food Security

An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

On 23 September 2013 the Global Food Security programme, in partnership with the Society of Biology, held a discussion event titled: “Who is responsible for your food”. The event was open to all to attend. The majority of participants had some formal interest in the subject.

The second half of the event involved groups of around seven people having facilitated discussions on two questions: What are the major issues which need addressing around food waste?; Who is responsible for tackling these issues? The
experts were stationed in some, but not all of the groups.
