Baptiste Albertone (Centre of Development Studies, University of Cambridge)   "Sustainable Development in the Periphery: A structuralist perspective" Friday 4th November 2pm

A presentation about false promises, paths not taken and forgotten theories. Using a structuralist approach to development, it explores the limits of conventional discourses on sustainable development in the context of less developed economies. In addition, it revisits the contributions of structuralist thinkers on the issue of ecologically sustainable development that were developed in the 1970s and early 1980s before being marginalised by the neoliberal turn.

Coffee Break Seminars are a relaxed online learning and discussion platform for our food security community. Talks take place every Friday during term time at 2 pm, UK time.
